Fish curry can be prepared in many ways. One which i prepare here is without coconut or coconut milk and is traditional kerala cuisine.

NGREDIENTS

Fish – 1 kg
Onion big – 1
Tomato big – 1
Curry leaves – 4 to 5 sprig
Cocum (കുടംപുളി) – 5
Garlic cloves – 15
Ginger – 1 big piece
Coconut oil – 2 tbsp
Onion small (ചെറിയ ഉള്ളി) – 6
Green chilly – 2
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Chilly powder – 1.5 tbsp
Water – as needed
Salt – as needed

coriander leaves -1 cup
mint leaves -3/4 cup
lime juice -2-3 tbsp
yogurt -4 tbsp
Garam Masala pdr -1&1/2 tsp

for rice

jeerakasala rice -4 cups
ghee -4-5 tbsp
oil -4-5 tbsp
cinnamon sticks -2
cardamom -4
cloves -4-5
bay leaf -1
water -6 cups
salt

for dum

fried onion
coriander & mint leaves
fried cashews & raisins
